VIVALAREVIEW: Hard Candy Glamoflague Heavy Duty Concealer

Time to hide those blemishes. The right way.

This product is one of those "Cult Favorites". You know, the one those certain items that everyone seems to be raving about? I will be reviewing the Heavy Duty Glamoflauge Concealer by Hard Candy.

I bought my Glamoflague in the color Medium (which is too light for my skintone)

First off, let me start by saying: WOW. This is a great product for something so cheap ($6 US) that you can find at Wal-Mart! On the back of the clear box the concealer comes in, it says that the product can even cover up tattoos, which for me, is something that immediately sells me on. As soon as I purchased this, I couldn't wait until the next day when I could try it out. This product isn't perfect, but is very close to it. This does a great job of covering up your dark under eye circles and unsightly pimples.

The "unsung hero" of this product would have to be the concealer pencil stick that comes with it. It's great for any on-the-go touch ups or microscopic blemishes. QUICK TIP: Don't apply this on your blemishes when it is fully sharpened. Apply it when the tip is dull, because the sharp tip can hurt on your sensitive blemishes. Try lightly pressing it down on a tissue to make it dull. I wish that Hard Candy would either make the pencil bigger or sell it individully. I think it would be such a great product for everyone to try. The pencil has the same effect of the actual concealer, the only thing is that its more light weight. Its less easy to blend in because of its solid consistancy, but still workable.

Even if you buy a shade that may be too light (in my case) or too dark for your skin tone, it does wonders when you blend it into your skin. When you apply this on, you want to make sure you only squeeze out, the tiniest amount. A little of this product can go a very long way. The only flaw I have with this product is that if you put on just a little bit too much underneath your eyes, it will make your face feel cakey and heavy. The reason for this is because its consistency is a thick liquid, hence why Heavy Duty is on the packaging.
QUICK TIP: When applying, start by swiping/rubing it back and forth under your eyes. Then follow with patting it until its blended into your skin. I have normal skin, and so far this hasn't cause any problems for my skin. The product will surely last me a very long time, but next time I will get the tan color. Hard Candy needs to have more skin tone options in general because it seems like their products are only aimed for those who have lighter skin (I know in pictures my hand seems to be pale, but in real life, I would say my skin is more olive colored).

Again, you need the tiniest amount for your entire face

Overall, I would highly recommend someone to go out and get this product only if they have dark under eye circles and/or noticeable blemishes (since this is a heavy duty concealer).
